         "Powder Metallurgy" the International Specialized Exhibition, which has no analogues in CIS countries, has been organizing since 1973. It is the unique, oldest and one of the most authoritative among technical exhibitions organized in Belarus. Initially, the initiator of the exhibition was the Belarusian State Scientific and Production Powder Metallurgy Association, which has been fruitful cooperating with Minskexpo JSC many years. 
          The latest thermal equipment and this for presses as well as powder materials used for products manufacturing by powder metallurgy methods are exhibited at the fair. In addition, visitors of the exhibition will be able to take a closer look at the advanced products of powder metallurgy, which are used in metallurgy (friction, antifriction and constructional products of irregular shape, ferrites, technical ceramics), power engineering (bimetallic conductive devices, heat radiator on basis of heat pipes), petrochemistry (porous materials) and medicine (implantates), goods on the basis of hard metals and artificial diamonds (metal- and stone-working machinery) as well as unique technologies of plasma and gas-thermal application of protective and hardening coatings on machine parts and tools.
         Traditionally, the first-rate Belarusian, Russian and German manufacturer of powder metallurgy products, powder materials and processing equipment take part in the exhibition. The representatives of China, the companies «Nanjing East Precision Machinery Co., Ltd» and «Yangzhou Haili Precision Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd», participate for the first time.
  Among the regular participants of the exhibition "Powder Metallurgy" there are the leading German companies:
- DORST TECHNOLOGIES, whose name stands for the state-of-the art developments in the field of pressing technologies for ceramic solids and metals powder;
- CREMER THERMOPROZESSANLAGEN, which business is based on special equipment for furnaces;
- Sovtorg, representative of mentioned companies in Russia; 
- multidisciplinar transnational concern «BASF», which presents technologies and materials for die casting of metal powders and ceramics;
- Linn High Therm GmbH, which is the world leading manufacturer of electrically heated industrial and laboratory furnaces, rotary tube furnaces, sample preparation units for spectroscopy;
- the well-known German companies «LAUFFER GmbH» and «SMS Meer», as well as the «VMZ Universal» (Russia) demonstrate presses, advanced materials and technologies. 
         The latest developments of Powder Metallurgy Institute, Research Institute of Impulse processes and several others will be presented by the joint exposition of State Scientific and Production Powder Metallurgy Association of the Republic of Belarus.
         The International Symposium "Surface Engineering. Advanced powder composite materials. Welding", which is organized within the framework of the exhibitions «Welding and Cutting», "Powder Metallurgy" and salon «Corrosion Protection. Coatings», will be held from the 25th till the 27th of March, 2009 in the conference hall of the exhibition pavilion.
