         It is typical for the economy of the Republic of Belarus that welding and related processes are wide interbranch adopted. Welding is a leading technological process in production for more than 400 enterprises and organizations of the republic. Such a widespread use of welding (and related processes) developed it to one of the basic technological processes, which assures the production of more than 50% of the country's GDP. In view of the above the quality and competitiveness of production of welding engineering entails the efficiency of the economy of the Republic of Belarus.
      Nowadays, local enterprises are in dire need of replacement of outmoded facilities to advanced analogs. Under the circumstances of the global financial crisis, increasing of competition and quality specifications of output products it is necessary to master the automated welding systems, modern energy-saving technological welding equipment and high quality welding stuff. In view of the above the exhibition «Welding and Cutting-2009» gives to potential consumers great opportunities to familiarize the new achievements in the field of welding as well as find ways to make the welding industry more effective and efficient.
      The themes of the exhibition «Welding and Cutting» are in keeping with the latest development of the industry and cover technologies, equipment, know-how in the field of welding, cutting, coating, quality control systems, certification and standardization of welding equipment, etc. By the season - 2009 exhibition will be held for the 9th time and bring together the leading domestic and foreign «players» of the welding equipment and materials.
      Among the participants are our regular partners:
- BelSvaMo Ltd., the largest supplier of professional welding equipment, materials and tools of world leading manufacturers in Belarus;
- Oliver Ltd., the supplier of welding equipment, torches, electrode wire;
- Kemfin Ltd., the distributor of Finnish firms Kemppi OY, Kemecweld OY, Heatmasters OY in Belarus;
- Belgazpromdiagnostika, UE and United Welding Company, JSC, which offer welding equipment, consumables, protective equipment for welders, nondestructive testing instruments;
- Anvalyuna, ARC presents the equipment for welding of EWM Hightec Welding GmbH (Germany);
- Alvi - Torg, Atlas - Invest, Mashagroprom, Belevrotekh and others.
  Rywal Svarka announces itself for the first time. The welding equipment and spare parts to it, band-saws of the company Rywal-RHC Sp. z o.o. (Poland) will be presented on its stand. 
  Among the regular foreign participants are the representatives from Ukraine:
- Kakhovka Plant of Electric Welding Equipment, which is the leading developer and manufacturer of multi-purpose and special welding equipment. Long-terms experience of the plant's specialists in close cooperation with the Paton Institute of Electric Welding allowed the plant to reach the world level by such indicators as quality, modern design, operational dependability; 
- PlazmaTek, which is the manufacturer of welding materials;
  from Russia:
- State Ryazan Instrumental Plant, which is the manufacturer of direct current small-sized inverter welding machines of «Forsazh» series for arc manual, semiautomatic and argon-arc welding;
- Trade House Mezhgosmetiz, JSC is the leading company in Russia for manufacture of welding materials;
- Center for shipbuilding and ship repair technologies, JSC;
- Russian representative office of «POLYSOUDE S.A.S» (France), which is the world leading manufacturer of installations for orbital and machine welding.
  «B & Bartoni, spol. S r. o. » (Czech Republic) and «Carl Sloos Schweißtechnik GmbH» (Germany), which are going to take part for the first time, exhibit the welding equipment as well.

      The International Specialized Salon "Corrosion Protection. Coatings" will be held once again at the same time with the exhibition «Welding and Cutting».  This event provides the opportunity to bring together in one place materials, equipment and technologies for the complex problem-solving of corrosion protection, improving the reliability and service life of the machinery and constructions, giving them special properties: such as, for example, high strength, wear resistance, heat resistance, electrical safety and other.
      Among the participants there are manufacturing and commercial enterprises, as well as scientific institutions and innovation associations: «BelNovil», the official representative of the company Wilcktns Farben GmbH (Germany) in Belarus, specializes in supplying a wide range of standard and specially designed high-performance systems for the steel, ferroconcrete and other surfaces protection against corrosion and erosion processes; «Teknos», which is the leading Scandinavian manufacturer of paintwork products for industrial use, offers to consumers a wide range of Belarusian anticorrosive paint and other industrial paint materials. Paintwork protective systems, protective rustproof finishes for various operating conditions, equipment and technologies of thermal and plasma sputtering, galvanic baths will be presented at the stands of the German company «HLS Galvano Technik Leipzig GmbH», domestic enterprises «Promeks», «BelMistim», «Vantreyd», «Metalayn», «Navikom», «Steloplast», «Korrokout» and many others.
      The International Symposium "Surface Engineering. Advanced powder composite materials. Welding", which is organized within the framework of the exhibitions «Welding and Cutting», "Powder Metallurgy » and salon «Corrosion Protection. Coatings», will be held from the 25th till the 27th of March, 2009 in the conference hall of the exhibition pavilion.
The first-rate specialized editions, including magazines "Welder in Belarus", "Welder" (Ukraine), "Znak kachestva", "Logistics", "Automation from A to Z", "Prices and products today", "Wholesale and retail trade", newspapers "Mezhdunarodny Klub", "Biznes-regiony", "Brig Expo" (Russia), "Vecherniy Minsk", "Belorusy i rynok", "Obozrevatel" give the informational support.
